THE NUMBER OF FERAL ANIMALS RETRIEVED FOR REHABILITATION WAS 1,711 IN 2021, AND 1,761 IN 2020. OF THOSE ANIMALS THE NUMBER THAT WERE SUCCESSFULLY REHABILITATED AND RELEASED TO THE WILD WERE 626 IN 2021, AND 656 IN 2020. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS ALSO CONDUCTED PUBLIC OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS. THESE PROGRAMS SERVED STUDENTS IN CLASSROOM SETTINGS, COMMUNITY AND CIVIC CLUB MEMBERS, AND THOUSANDS OF LOCAL RESIDENTS AND TOURISTS ACROSS A FIVE COUNTY AREA OF NORTHWEST FLORIDA.
