THE AMAZING GIVE:HELPING FIRST-YEAR TEACHERS START STRONG IN ALACHUA COUNTY: THE CHAMBER FOUNDATION PARTNERED WITH THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF NORTH CENTRAL FLORIDA THROUGH THEIR 24-HOURS GIVING CAMPAIGN THE AMAZING GIVE TO RAISE 6,120 TO PURCHASE 153-40 AMAZON GIFT CARDS FOR TEACHERS BEGINNING THEIR CAREERS IN ALACHUA COUNTY. THE CHAMBER FOUNDATION HOSTED A VIRTUAL COMEDY KICK-OFF SPONSORED BY INNOVA-LEAF, WESTED, STORY CORPS, AND KEG OF LAUGHS. DANIEL BIDDLE, KNOWN FOR HIS HIGH ENERY AND RELATABLE PERSONALITY TEACHER, WAS THE FEATURED COMEDIAN. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT DONATED 1,300 AND SWAG BAGS FOR THE TEACHERS. DUE TO COVID, THE BAGS WERE GIVEN TO THE PRINCIPALS AT THEIR DISTRICT MEETING TO DELIVER TO THE TEACHERS.
