THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF ALACHUA COUNTY WAS FOUNDED TO SUPPORT ALACHUA COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE SCHOOLS THROUGH TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN, SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS, CATALYST FOR CHANGE AND OTHER PROGRAMS.DURING THE 2021-2022 YEAR:- 50 GRANTS WERE GIVEN THROUGH THE CATALYST FOR CHANGE TEACHER AND SCHOOL GRANT PROGRAM- 36 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED TO GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS THROUGH THE SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM- 60 STUDENTS COMPLETED THE TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN PROGRAM AND RECEIVED A TWO-YEAR FLORIDA PREPAID COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP- 40 AWARDS WERE GIVEN TO TEACHER OF THE YEAR RECIPIENTS- 46 MISCELLANEOUS SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED
