PHYLLIS NEWBY, MISSIONARY TO HAITI: TRAINS AND SUPPORTS INDIGENT PASTORS AND TEACHERS; OVERSEES MORE THAN 280 CHURCHES WITH PRIMARY SCHOOLS; FEEDING PROGRAMS TO SCHOOL CHILDREN AND VILLAGES AS POSSIBLE; FOOD AND CLOTHING DISTRIBUTIONS; AND PROVIDES FOR TWO CHILDREN'S HOMES, ONE IN SAINTARD WITH 46 CHILDREN, AND THE OTHER IN PIGNON HOUSING 57 CHILDREN. AN ADDITIONAL PART OF THE MINISTRY IS TO FACILITATE GROUPS VISITING HAITI, HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF INSECURITIES WITHIN THE COUNTRY ONLY ONE GROUP WAS ABLE TO VISIT EARLY IN 2022. PROVIDED ALMOST 500,000 POUNDS OF RICE IN 2022 FOR THE PEOPLE OF HAITI.
SPECIAL PROJECT: HURRICANE IAN SUPPLIES FOR RECOVERY EFFORTS. HELPED FAMILIES IN PORT CHARLOTTE, NORTH PORT AND VENICE, FLORIDA. SPECIAL GIFT AT YEAR-END TOWARD CLEAN UP FROM HURRICANE IAN DAMAGE ON PROSPECTIVE CAMP LOCATION.
