THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME AND HANDICAPPED PERSONS THROUGH THE OWNERSHIP AND OPERATION OF APARTMENT BUILDINGS CONSISTING OF 100 PROJECT BASED SECTION 8 UNITS IN FORT MYERS, FL. THE AGENCY ENGAGED CONSULTANTS TO ASSIST WITH DEVELOPING PLANS AND PROCURING FUNDING, BOTH DEBT RESTRUCTURE AND GRANTS, TO PERFORM A MAJOR RENOVATION OF THE 100 UNIT DEVELOPMENT. THE AGENCY WAS AWARDED SHIP GRANTS IN 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 AND 2021. RESTRUCTURE OF THE LONG-TERM DEBT AND THE PROCUREMENT OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN 2018. THE MAJOR RENOVATION WAS COMPLETED DECEMBER 2019. THE AGENCY CONTINUED RENOVATION OF OTHER AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT IN 2021.
