ORANGE COUNTY FARM BUREAU SUPPORTS THE SPECIAL HEARTS FARM, A LOCAL ORGANIZATION WHICH SERVES INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND UNIQUE ABILITIES BY PROVIDING ADULT DAY TRAINING, SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT, AND POSSIBLE ENTREPRENEUR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES RELATED TO FARMING AND GARDENING EXPERIENCES. THE FACILITY PROVIDES TRANSITION OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES TO TRAIN AND CONTINUE PERFORMING MEANINGFUL AGRICULTURE-RELATED JOBS.


WE CONTINUED TO CORRESPOND WITH LOCAL AND STATE OFFICIALS THROUGH VARIOUS PLATFORMS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT ORANGE COUNTY AGRICULTURE AND ITS CHALLENGES IN AN URBAN COUNTY.


ORANGE COUNTY FARM BUREAU UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF AGRICULTURALISTS. THE COUNTY PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS PURSUING CAREERS IN AGRICULTURE.
