PENSACOLA SCOTTISH RITE IS A MASONIC FRATERNAL ORGANIZATION. AS SUCH, IT PROVIDES FACILITIES AND FUNCTIONS FOR THE FELLOWSHIP OF ITS MEMBERS. IT PROVIDES CHARITABLE ASSISTANCE TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. IT PROVIDES MASONIC EDUCATION TO ITS MEMBERS AND TO OTHER INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS.

PENSACOLA SCOTTISH RITE PROVIDES FACILITIES AND FUNCTIONS FOR ITS MEMBERS TO ENJOY FELLOWSHIP, TO PARTICIPATE IN EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND TO CONTRIBUTE TO LOCAL CHARITIES. TO PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP, THE VALLEY HOSTS A DINNER PRECEDING EACH MONTHLY MEETING. MEMBERS' WIVES AND GUESTS ARE INVITED TO THE DINNERS. ON THE THIRD TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH THE VALLEY HOSTS A LUNCHEON FOR MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS LUNCHEON. EACH MONTH THE VALLEY PROVIDES A LIGHT DINNER BEFORE CONDUCTING EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS OFR MEMBERS. THESE SESSIONS PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR MEMBERS ABOUT SCOTTISH RITE MASONRY, GOVERNANCE OF SCOTTISH RITE AND THE VALLEY OF PENSACOLA, BASIC LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND APPLYING MASONIC TEACHINGS TO EVERYDAY LIVING. AT EACHMONTHLY MEETING THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SELECTS A LOCAL CHARITY TO WHICH THE VALLEY MAKES A DONATION. IN ADDITION, THE VALLEY MAKES CONTRIBUTIONS TO LOCAL CHAPTERS OF DEMOLAY AND RAINBOW GIRLS, WHICH ARE YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS LOOSELY AFFILIATED WITH MASONRY. THE VALLEY MAKES CONTRIBUTIONS TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE ALMONER FUND. MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE TO THE ALMONER FUND AS THEY ARE ABLE. THE ALMONER MAKES ANONYMOUS CONTRIBUTIONS TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS BASED ON RECOMMENDATIONS FROM MEMBERS AND OTHERS.THE VALLEY SUPPORTS CHILDREN'S SPEECH CLINICS THROUGH THE FLORIDA SCOTTISH RITE FOUNDATION. THE VALLEY HOLDS PATRIOTIC PROGRAMS TO HONOR FLAG DAY, VETERANS DAY, AND PEARL HARBOR DAY. THE VALLEY HONORS OUTSTANDING ROTC STUDENTS FROM 16 SCHOOLS FOR THEIR SCHOLASTIC EXCELLENCEAND DEMONSTRATED AMERICANISM. THE VALLEY HOSTS AN ANNUAL SURVIVING SPOUSES LUNCHEON TO HONOR WIDOWS OF SCOTTISH RITE MASONS AND MEMBERS WHO ARE WIDOWERS. ANNUALLY, THE VALLEY HONORS A LOCAL FAMILY FOR COMMENDABLE SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY. THERE ARE TWO SCOTTISH RITE CLUBS, IN ESCAMBIA COUNTY AND IN OKALOOSA COUNTY, AND A SCOTTISH RITE WOMENS ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS WHO CAN'T ATTEND ACTIVITIES IN PENSACOLA.
