THE MISSION OF MACH ACADEMY, INC IS TO PROVIDE LIFE SKILLS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY, HOMEOWNERSHIP AND RECREATIONAL EXPERIENCES. THE FOCUS DEMOGRAPHICS ARE INNER CITY, DISADVANTAGED YOUTH AND LOW TO MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES.

TENNIS, FITNESS, AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE INSTRUCTION IS PROVIDED IN ALL AREAS OF THE JUNIOR TENNIS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDES CHILDREN FROM EIGHT TO EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD. WE SERVE ALL CHILDREN THAT WISH TO PARTICIPATE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON CHILDREN FROM DISADVANTAGED CIRCUMSTANCES. WE ENCOURAGE OUR PARTICIPANTS TO FULLY DEVELOP THEMSELVES IN MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT. WE PROMOTE HEALTHY LIFESTYLES CHOICES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. WE ENABLE OUR KIDS TO DEVELOP SKILLS TO SUSTAIN THEM FOR A LIFETIME. WE TEACH AND PROMOTE PHYSICAL FITNESS, POSITIVE LIFESTYLE CHOICES, AND HEALTHY COMPETITION TO DEVELOP OUR CHILDREN INTO PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY MEMBERS OF SOCIETY. THROUGH OUR TENNIS LEAGUES, CLINICS, AND TOURNAMENTS WE INSTILL CONFIDENCE, SELF-SUFFICIENCY, PERSISTANCE AND A SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT INTO OUR PARTICIPANTS.
MACH ACADEMY WORKS WITH THE NATIONAL COMMUNITY STABILIZATION TRUST TO SUPPORT NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION EFFORTS THROUGH RENOVATION OF DILAPIDATED AND ABONDONED HOUSES. MACH ACADEMY TAKES THESE UNSAFE EYESORES AND TURNS THEM INTO ATTRACTIVE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES. MACH ACADEMY CONDUCTS EDUCATION SESSIONS TO DEVELOP CHARACTER AND STRONG MINDS. A PROFESSIONAL STAFF OF EDUCATED AND TRAINED STAFF, BOARD MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS LEAD THE EDUCATIONAL CLASSES. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO FIRST DEVELOP THE READING AND WRITING SKILLS OF THE STUDENTS. AFTER THE STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE COMPENTENCY IN READING AND WRITING THEY ARE ENCOURAGED TO EXPLORE THE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH CURRICULUM. MACH OFFERS BASIC STEM COURSES TO STUDENTS THAT TRADITIONALLY DONT PURSUE CAREERS IN THESE FIELDS. MACH ACADEMY ENCOURAGES THESE STUDENTS TO CONSIDER ADVANCING THIER EDUCATION IN THE STEM SUBJECTS.
