RECLAIMING THE STREETS AS SAFE, INCLUSIVE, AND THRIVING SPACES FOR PEOPLE TO RIDE, WALK, AND ROLL.

POLICY, TRANSIT, & INFRASTRUCTURE INITIATIVES: WE GARNERED SUPPORT FROM 19 PARTNER ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS FOR OUR POLICY CAMPAIGNS ADVOCATING FOR VISION ZERO, REDUCED SPEED LIMIT, CHANGES TO POLICE PURSUIT POLICY AND TACTICAL URBANISM. CONSTRUCTION BEGAN ON DEKALB AVENUE AND CASCADE ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. 5% OF THE CITY OF ATLANTA GENERAL BUDGET WAS SET ASIDE TO MAINTAIN INFRASTRUCTURE TO ADDRESS CRITICAL NEEDS SUCH AS DAMAGED SIDEWALKS.


CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: LEADING UP TO LOCAL ELECTIONS, 300 INDIVIDUALS AND 13 ORGANIZATIONS REGISTERED THEIR SUPPORT FOR OUR EQUITABLE MOBILITY POLICY AGENDA. WE PUBLISHED 27 CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRES THAT GARNERED 648 UNIQUE PAGE VIEWS. WE CO-PRODUCED EIGHT CANDIDATE FORUMS WITH THE TRANSFORMATION ALLIANCE THAT ATTRACTED OVER 3K VIDEO VIEWS. WE BEGAN EXPANDING OUR TRANSIT ADVOCACY. WE GREW OUR COMMUNITY ADVOCATES FOR SAFE STREETS INITIATIVE WITH ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS.


EDUCATION & OUTREACH: WE PROVIDED MORE THAN 30 BIKE SAFETY EDUCATION CLASSES TO MORE THAN 360 PEOPLE IN-PERSON AND VIRTUALLY, PARTNERING WITH THE CITIES OF ATLANTA, AVONDALE ESTATES, AND CLARKSTON, CENTRAL ATLANTA PROGRESS, THE GEORGIA BIKE/WALK SUMMIT, THE GEORGIA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY, LIME, LIVABLE BUCKHEAD, MARTA, MIDTOWN ALLIANCE, PATH 400, AND REI. WE GAVE BICYCLES, SAFETY EQUIPMENT, AND EDUCATION AT NO COST TO 40 STUDENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS AT FINCH ELEMENTARY THROUGH BIKE FAMILY.
