HABITAT DEKALB BELIEVES IN A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE DESERVES A DECENT PLACE TO LIVE. WE HELP FAMILIES ACHIEVE THIS THROUGH OUR HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM AND THROUGH OUR SENIOR HOME REPAIR PROGRAM. OUR HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM ALLOWS LOW-TO-MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES TO BUY A NEWLY BUILT OR RENOVATED HOME. FAMILIES MUST FALL WITHIN 30%-60% OF THE AREA MEDIAN INCOME. WE OFFER ZERO-EQUIVALENT MORTGAGES. FAMILIES MUST COMPLETE 250 SWEAT EQUITY HOURS. OUR SENIOR HOME REPAIR PROGRAM WORKS WITH SENIORS AND VETERANS 65+ ON PRESERVING THEIR HOME. QUALIFIED FAMILIES CAN RECEIVE INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR REPAIRS ON THEIR HOME, ALLOWING THEM TO AGE IN PLACE GRACEFULLY. WE PARTNER WITH MANY ORGANIZATIONS IN AND AROUND THE COMMUNITY UTILIZING VOLUNTEERS, DONORS, AND SKILLED LABOR TO ELIMINATE SUBSTANDARD HOUSING IN DEKALB COUNTY, GA.
