TO INCULCATE THE PRINCIPLES OF CHARITY, JUSTICE, BROTHERLY LOVE AND FIDELITY: TO RECOGNIZE A BELIEF IN GOD; TO QUICKEN THE SPIRIT OF AMERICAN PATRIOTISM; AND TO SERVE THE PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH BENEVOLENT PROGRAMS.

THE ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION PROVIDES MORE THAN $3.64 MILLION IN COLLEGE SCHOLORSHIPS EACH YEAR THROUGH ITS THREE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS. THE APPLICATION PROCESS AND DEADLINES VARY FROM EACH PROGRAM. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST GO THROUGH A LOCAL ELKS LODGE BEFORE REACHING THE ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION OFFICE. THE BENEVOLENT AND PROTECTIVE ORDER OF ELKS IS A RESOURCE CENTER FOR THE ELKS NATIONAL DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM - THE LARGEST DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM IN THE UNITED STATES. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF OUR DEDICATED ARMY OF VOLUNTEERS WHO FREELY GIVE THEIR TIME AMD TALENTS TO THIS MOST NOBLE CAUSE. THE ELKS ARE COMMITTED TO ELIMINATING THE USE AND ABUSE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS BY ALL MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND BELIEVE THAT IN ORDER TO INSURE A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR OUR COUNTRY, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT OUR CHILDREN BE RAISED IN A DRUG-FREE ENVIRONMENT.
