OUR MISSION: TO PRESERVE OUR COMMUNITY'S SENSE OF PLACE BY PROTECTING ITS NATURAL, CULTURAL, AND OPEN SPACE RESOURCES IN PERPETUITY.OUR VISION: A LANDSCAPE ANCHORED BY OUR COMMUNITY'S NATURAL AND HISTORICAL TRADITIONS, EXISTING IN BALANCED HARMONY WITH A GROWING HUMAN PRESENCE.

LCBT HAS SECURED 53 CONSERVATION EASEMENTS ON 44 SITES AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2020. CURRENTLY, THERE ARE 40,613 ACRES OF LAND UNDER CONSERVATION EASEMENT. LCBT OPERATES A CONSERVATION EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT TEACHES AN AVERAGE OF 2,000 INDIVIDUALS EACH YEAR. LCBT ANNUALY HOSTS ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONSERVATION MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS, AND FORUMS. LCBT RECENTLY PUBLISHED THE FIRST EDITION OF THE BOOK ENTITLED "SEVEN DAYS ON THE SANTEE DELTA" BY JOHN LANE AND PHILIP WILKINSON.
