MERIDIAN MEDICAL ARTS CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL (MMACHS) IS A FREE FOUR-YEAR PUBLIC CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL. WHILE PROVIDING STUDENTS WITH IMMEDIATELY APPLICABLE, PRACTICAL SKILLS, OUR COMPREHENSIVE, HEALTH SCIENCE-CENTERED CURRICULUM ALSO EQUIPS STUDENTS WITH THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO SUCCEED AS THEY PROGRESS TO THE POST-SECONDARY LEVEL. OUR DUAL CREDIT AND ASSOCIATES DEGREE OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS CERTIFICATIONS IN CNA, EMT, AND REHABILITATION SERVICES PROVIDE OUR STUDENTS A SPRINGBOARD INTO THEIR PRE-MED, NURSING, PARAMEDICS, AND MEDICAL ASSISTING DEGREES. WE STRIVE TO PRODUCE COMPASSIONATE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WITH RELEVANT, REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE WHO ARE READY TO SERVE BOTH OUR LOCAL AND GLOBAL COMMUNITIES. (CONTINUED ON SCH. O)MMACHS PROVIDED EDUCATION TO 186 STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12 WITH AN INTEREST IN PURSUING A HEALTH CARE CAREER.ACADEMIC:PROVIDING AN INNOVATIVE BROAD-BASED CURRICULUM THAT INTEGRATES THE HEALTH SCIENCE CURRICULUM.TECHNICAL:UTILIZING A PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC SKILLS AND ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE BEYOND THE CLASSROOM.ETHICAL:FOSTERING AN UNDERSTANDING OF RELEVANT ETHICAL ISSUES ENCOUNTERED IN THE HEALTH SCIENCE PROFESSIONS.COVID 19:DUE TO COVID 19 MMACHS STARTED THE 20-21 SCHOOL YEAR WITH HALF THE STUDENTS IN-PERSON LEARNING AND HALF ONLINE, ALTERNATING DAYS SO THAT ALL STUDENTS HAD EQUAL TIME IN-PERSON. THIS LASTED UNTIL THE THIRD QUARTER WHEN ALL STUDENTS WERE ALLOWED BACK FOR IN-PERSON LEARNING.
