ONE OF THE GUILDS PRIORITIES IS COMMUNITY OUTREACH. WE HOLD A YEARLY FOCUS ON YOUTH JURIED EXHIBIT FOR AREA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS- WHICH IS THE ONLY JURIED SHOW FOR THAT AGE GROUP IN THE AREA. THE GUILD ALSO CONTINUES TO PRESENT A JURIED SHOW FOR ARTISTS FROM THREE STATE- THE OLDEST JURIED SHOW IN THE STATE OF SC.

THE GUILD PROVIDES AN EXCEPTIONAL ART GALLERY WITHIN THE CHAPMAN CULTURAL CENTER. WE CREATE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL ARTISTS TO SHOWCASE THEIR WORK IN A PROFESSIONAL, UPSCALE ENVIRONMENT. BY ROTATING THE ARTWORK ON A MONTHLY BASIS WE PROVIDE EXPOSURE FOR 200+ ARTISTS PER YEAR AS WELL AS GIVING THE COMMUNITY THE CHANCE TO SEE A WIDE VARIETY OF ARTISTIC STYLES AND MEDIUMS. DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR NUMEROUS TOURS ARE CONDUCTED WITHIN THE CHAPMAN CULTURAL CENTER CAMPUS, GIVING CHILDREN THE CHANCE TO OBSERVE AND CONNECT WITH THE ART.
IN ADDITION, THE GUILD HOSTS AN EXHIBIT EACH YEAR FOR LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS. THE FOCUS ON YOUTH EXHIBIT IS THE ONLY JURIED SHOW FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE AREA. THE GUILD CONTINUES TO PRESENT AN ANNUAL JURIED SHOW FOR ADULT ARTISTS FROM THREE STATES (SC, NC AND GA). THIS IS OUR 49TH YEAR, MAKING IT THE OLDEST SUCH SHOW IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
