THE SALISBURY CIVITAN CLUB, IN CARRYING OUT SOME OF ITS OBJECTIVES AS A CIVIC SERVICE CLUB, HAS A PROJECT FUND THROUGH WHICH IT RAISED MONEY TO CONTRIBUTE TO VARIOUS LOCAL, STATE OR NATIONAL CAUSES. THESE PURPOSES ARE IN KEEPING WITH THE ORGANIZATIONS OBJECTIVES, AS STATED IN ITS CHARTER AND BY-LAWS, AND INCLUDE SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS THAT ASSIST MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS, OTHER INDIVIDUALS IN SPECIAL POPULATIONS, AND YOUTH. MANY CLUB MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION AND ACTIVITIES OF THESE PROGRAMS. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF PERSONS BENEFITED BY THE PROGRAMS.
