NEW LEADERS COUNCIL'S MISSION IS TO DEVELOP, CONNECT AND UPLIFT INCLUSIVE CROSS-SECTOR LEADERS WHO WILL TRANSFORM OUR COUNTRY THROUGH SOCIAL AND POLITICAL CHANGE ROOTED IN EQUITY.

THE NEW LEADERS COUNCIL INSTITUTE IS THE PREMIER LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING, MENTORING, NETWORKING, AND CAREER AND POLITICAL ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS. IN 2021, 794 FELLOWS WERE SERVED ACROSS THE COUNTRY. NEW LEADERS COUNCIL INSTITUTE PROVIDED THEM WITH A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY NETWORK AND TRAINING THAT WILL PROPEL THEM FURTHER IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS. EACH FELLOW RECEIVED 100+ HOURS OF COMMUNITY-BASED TRAINING FROM 50+ LOCAL AND NATIONAL TRAINERS. THE 2021 COHORT SELF IDENTIFIED AS 78% BLACK, INDIGENOUS AND PEOPLE OF COLOR; 70% WOMEN AND GENDER NON-CONFORMING FOLX; AND 40% LBTQAI+ FOLX. OVER THE PAST 15 YEARS WE'VE TRAINED OVER 10,000 ALUMNI FROM 50 CHAPTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, CREATING AN ECOSYSTEM OF PLACE-BASED, PROXIMATE LEADERS MAKING COLLECTIVE IMPACT IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
