THE MISSION OF THE U.S. NATIONAL WHITEWATER CENTER IS TO BUILD STRONGER COMMUNITIES BY: PROMOTING HEALTHY AND ACTIVE LIFESTYLES, DEVELOPING ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP, ENCOURAGING FAMILY AND CIVIC INTERACTION.

THE USNWC FACILITATED APPROXIMATELY 431,000 ACTIVITIES WITH APPROXIMATELY 233,000 GUESTS WHO PURCHASED SPORT PASSES. SPORT ACTIVITIES INCLUDED WHITEWATER RAFTING, KAYAKING, PADDLEBOARDING, CLIMBING, ZIPLINES, ADVENTURE COURSES, MOUNTAIN BIKING, ICE SKATING, AND RAPPELLING. IN ADDITION, THE USNWC FACILITATED APPROXIMATELY 7,000 OTHER ACTIVITIES WITH NON-PASS PARTICIPANTS. THESE NON-PASS ACTIVITIES INCLUDED WHITEWATER KAYAKING, SWIFTWATER RESCUE, TEAMBUILDING, CANOPY TOURS AND YOUTH CAMPS. USWNC GUESTS INCLUDED GROUPS (E.G. BUSINESSES, CLUBS, SCOUTS, CHURCHES, MILITARY, SCHOOLS) AND INDIVIDUALS (E.G. FAMILIES, FRIENDS). TOTAL TRAFFIC TO THE USNWC WAS APPROXIMATELY 978,000 IN 2020, WHICH INCLUDED THE ACTIVITY PARTICIPANTS AS WELL AS GUESTS WHO ENJOYED THE 50 MILES OF TRAILS AND 13 RACE EVENTS. GUESTS WERE EXPOSED TO THE ACTIVE, OUTDOOR LIFESTYLE, EXPERIENCED ADVENTURES, MET PERSONAL CHALLENGES, AND ENJOYED NATURE AND ITS SURROUNDINGS.
