TO PROTECT THE LIVES AND PROPERTY OF THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY FROM FIRES, NATURAL DISASTERS, AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INCIDENTS; TO SAVE LIVES BY PROVIDING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES; VARIOUS TYPES OF RESCUE SERVICES; TO PREVENT FIRES THROUGH PREVENTION AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS; AND TO PROVIDE A WORK ENVIRONMENT THAT VALUES PROFESSIONALISM, INTEGRITY, TEAMWORK AND A NEVER ENDING QUEST TO IMPROVE SERVICES.

WE PROVIDE, ON A REGULAR BASIS, PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO MAKE THE PUBLIC AWARE OF PREVENTIVE MEASURES THEY CAN TAKE TO AVOID THE LOSS OF LIFE OR PROPERTY TO FIRE. WE CONSTANTLY TRAIN AND UPGRADE EQUIPMENT TO PERFORM OUR SUPPRESSION ACTIVITIES IN AN EFFICIENT MANNER. FINALLY, WE SEEK OPPORTUNITIES TO EDUCATE OUR PUBLIC ON ISSUES OF FIRE SAFETY.ALSO, MEDICAL PERSONNEL ATTACHED TO THE DEPARTMENT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE PUBLIC WE SERVE ON A TWENTY-FOUR HOUR BASIS. WE ARE FIRST RESPONDERS AND WE PROVIDE CARE AT THE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT LEVEL AND WE DO NOT OPERATE AN AMBULANCE. MEDICAL PERSONNEL ARE REQUIRED TO SECURE TRAINING IN THIS FIELD AS WELL AS TRAINING IN THE FIRE END OF OUR OPERATIONS.
