EDUCATION PROGRAMS SERVING 100,000 STUDENTS (TEACHER TRAINING, MATERIALS, COMMUNICATIONS AND SCHOOL RESOURCES) AND HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES TO EDUCATE STUDENTS THROUGH CIVICS AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCES (PROGRAMMING, MATERIALS, RESOURCES). PROGRAMS INCLUDE CHARLOTTE-MECKLENBURG YOUTH COUNCIL, YOUTH LEAD, STUDENT ADVISOR TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, KIDS LEAD, KIDS VOTING, K-12 CIVIC LITERACY EDUCATION, NC CIVICS COALITION, AND OTHER INITIATIVES THAT BUILD CIVIC LITERACY AND LEADERSHIP FROM AN EARLY AGE.
