CME MEETINGS - HELD TWO VIRTUAL AND FOUR IN-PERSON CME EVENTS AVAILABLE TO ALL 4,500 NCAFP MEMBERS, AS WELL AS NON-MEMBERS IN NORTH CAROLINA AND ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE SIX EVENTS ATTRACTED OVER 1200 ATTENDEES AND PROVIDED 60.25 HOURS OF CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION. ADDITIONALLY, THE NCAFP PROVIDED AN IN-PERSON EVENT IN FEBRUARY WHICH TARGETED MEDICAL STUDENTS AND HAD 87 PARTICIPANTS.
MEMBER SERVICES - ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF 4,500 MEMBERS FOR INCREASED INVESTMENT IN FAMILY MEDICINE WHICH INCLUDED CLOSING THE UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED COVERAGE GAP IN RURAL AREAS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FAMILY MEDICINE LOAN FORGIVENESS PILOT; ADVOCATED FOR LESS ADMINISTRATIVE BURDEN IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND INCREASED PAYMENT RATES FOR PRIMARY CARE SERVICES; ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF PRIMARY CARE THROUGHOUT THE ONGOING MEDICAID TRANSITION TO MANAGED CARE AND FOR THE FULL SCOPE OF FAMILY MEDICINE IN ADDRESSING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH; ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF EMPLOYED FAMILY PHYSICIANS WITHIN LARGE HEALTH SYSTEMS AND AMONG PAYERS; AND SERVED ON NUMEROUS TASKFORCES AND POLICY GROUPS, ADVOCATING ON BEHALF OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS AND PATIENTS IN NORTH CAROLINA.
COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLICATIONS - PROVIDED COMMUNICATION SERVICES TO OVER 4,500 MEMBERS THROUGH A QUARTERLY PRINTED MAGAZINE, REGULARLY SCHEDULED PODCASTS, AND OVER 50 E-NEWSLETTERS.
