THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY BRING DONATIONS OF USED BOOKS, CDS, AND DVDS TO THE POLK COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY, WHICH TURNS THEM OVER TO THE FRIENDS OF THE POLK COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY (FPCPL)FOR THE BOOK SALE, WHICH IS SET UP ADN CONDUCTED BY ALL OVLUNTEER MEMBERS OF THE FPCPL (NOT THE STAFF OF THE LIBRARY). THESE FUNDS ARE USED TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS FOR THE LIBRARY.
