HENDERSON COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, A CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION, BUILDS QUALITY AFFORDABLE HOMES, CREATES STRONG COMMUNITIES, AND CHANGES LIVES BY PARTNERING WITH COMMITTED VOLUNTEERS, PROFESSIONAL STAFF, AND ELIGIBLE FAMILIES LIVING IN INADEQUATE HOUSING.

HCHFH PROVIDES HIGHLY RATED AFFORDABLE NEW HOUSING AND REPAIR SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN-NEED THAT MEET OUR QUALIFICATIONS. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, OUR OVERALL CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR PROJECTS WERE GREATLY REDUCED FOR THIS FISCAL YEAR. HOWEVER, WE STILL WERE ABLE TO SERVE A SIZABLE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN OUR THREE-COUNTY SERVICE AREA. OUR FOUR RESTORE LOCATIONS PROVIDED HIGH QUALITY FURNISHINGS, DCOR, AND HOME ESSENTIALS AT A LOW COST TO SEVERAL THOUSAND INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. ADDITIONALLY, WE COMPLETED THE CONSTRUCTION AND SALE OF 5 NEW HOMES AND 3 REPAIR PROJECTS DURING FY21. OUR NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS PROVIDE SAFE, STABLE HOMES IN QUALITY NEIGHBORHOODS TO A TOTAL OF 11 ADULTS AND 6 CHILDREN. WITHIN THIS GROUP, 45% WERE AFRICAN-AMERICAN AND 55% WERE CAUCASIAN. WE EXPECT TO MORE THAN DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF NEW HOME AND REPAIR PROJECTS FOR FY22.
