COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF THE ROCKY MOUNT REGION INC'S PROGRAM EMPOWERS STUDENTS TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL AND SUCCEED AT SCHOOL AND IN LIFE. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES THIS PROGRAM DIRECTLY INSIDE SCHOOLS TO SERVE STUDENTS GRADE K-12 BY BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS AND WRAPPING STUDENTS IN SUPPORT AND RESOURCES. CIS PROGRAMMING REMOVES BARRIERS TO ATTENDANCE AND SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT, SUPPORTS STUDENT SOCIAL EMOTIONAL HEALTH, IMPROVES COURSEWORK, AND BRINGS IN COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO SUPPORT STUDENTS AND FAMILIES. CISRM SERVED 394 STUDENTS IN 8 SCHOOLS RESULTING IN A 83% PROMOTION AND 95% GRADUATION RATE FOR STUDENTS.
