COMMUNITY COUNTS HELPS CREATE NONTRADITIONAL SOLUTIONS TO THE UNIQUE CHALLENGES FACING COMMUNITIES ACROSS YAVAPAI COUNTY. COMMUNITY COUNTS IS AN UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION WHICH ESTABLISHES AND MANAGES COMMUNITY PROGRAMS THAT SERVE YOUTH, INDIVIDUALS, AND FAMILIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

YAVAPAI COUNTY AMERICORPS PROJECT (YCAP):THROUGH THE YAVAPAI COUNTY AMERICORPS PROJECT, COMMUNITY COUNTS LEVERAGED OVER 20,000 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE ADDRESSING HOMELESSNESS, FOOD SECURITY, TRANSPORTATION, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, EDUCATION, MENTORSHIP AND DISASTER RELIEF.


PARENTING EDUCATION AND OTHER COMMUNITY PROGRAMS:COMMUNITY COUNTS PROVIDED 22 PARENTING CLASS SERIES TO 314 UNDUPLICATED PARENTS/CAREGIVERS. TEN PARENTING WORKSHOPS WERE HELD WITH AN ADDITIONAL 200 UNDUPLICATED PARENTS/CAREGIVERS. ADDITIONALLY, THE OUR PRESCOTT VALLEY COMMUNITY GARDEN PROVIDED OVER 1,000 POUNDS OF FOOD TO LOCAL FOOD BANKS WITHIN YAVAPAI COUNTY.


THE YAVAPAI REENTRY PROJECT (YRP):36 INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE RELEASED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS WERE PROVIDED REENTRY SERVICES THROUGH THE YAVAPAI REENTRY PROJECT
