Part 3 - Line 4a

HONORING OUR LEADERS: IN 2023, THE ANCOR FOUNDATION OFFERED TWO SIGNATURE AWARDS PROGRAMS, BOTH OF WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO CELEBRATE THE LEADERS COMMITTED TO TRULY INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES. THREE NEW LEADERS WERE INDUCTED INTO THE FOUNDATION'S LEGACY LEADERS CIRCLE IN 2023, WHICH RECOGNIZES AND CELEBRATES THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF LONG-TIME ANCOR MEMBERS WHO HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ASSOCIATION DURING THEIR TENURE AS A MEMBER. THE FOUNDATION ALSO RECOGNIZED THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2023 COMMUNITY BUILDER AWARD, WHICH HONORS THE COMMUNITY PARTNER THAT, ALTHOUGH NOT A DIRECT SERVICE PROVIDER, HAS BEEN AN ALLY TO PROVIDERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES IN THEIR QUEST TO SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO LIVE A LIFE OF THEIR CHOOSING. NOTE: UP UNTIL 2023, THE LEGACY LEADER WAS A RESTRICTED FUND USED TO SUPPORT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES, LIKE THE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY. BEGINNING IN 2024, THE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY AND OTHER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT OFFERINGS WILL BE FUNDED THROUGH THE FOUNDATION'S NORMAL OPERATING BUDGET.

BUILDING NEXT-GENERATION LEADERS: THE ANCOR FOUNDATION'S LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES ARE FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF I/DD PROFESSIONALS. IN 2023, THE FOUNDATION WELCOMED THE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY CLASS OF 2025, THE NEWEST COHORT IN THIS TWO-YEAR LEADERSHIP SKILLS DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE THAT OFFERS PARTICIPANTS A 360-DEGREE VIEW OF WHAT IT TAKES TO LEAD A PROVIDER ORGANIZATION. THE FOUNDATION ALSO HOSTED ITS ANNUAL RENEE L. PIETRANGELO LEADERSHIP FORUM IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2023 ANCOR ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN CHICAGO, AND IT CONTINUED IT'S LONG-STANDING SPONSORSHIP OF TWO LEADERSHIP INSTITUTES HOSTED BY THE NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONSORTIUM ON DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
