CAMP DOGWOOD: THIS IS THE MAJOR SUMMER PROGRAMMING COMPONENTOF THE INSTITUTE. IT'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE CONTINUOUS REINFORCEMENT & ADVANCEMENT OF SKILLS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER.


PROGRAMS:SATURDAY INSTITUTE-ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL EXPERIENCE FOR 1ST-8TH GRADERS. MATH AND READING SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING. RUNS FROM OCTOBER - APRIL AT GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY. STUDENT ADVENTURES IN LEADERSHIP PREPARES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR LIFE AFTER GRADUATION. DEVELOP AND UTILIZE LEADERSHIP SKILLS, COLLEGE PREP, RESUME WRITING AND PREPARING FOR JOB INTERVIEWS, PERSONAL LEADERSHIP QUALITIES. ANBRYCE SCHOLARS-IDENTIFY AND CULTIVATE FUTURE LEADERS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO GIVING BACK TO SOCIETY AND MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE WORLD. MUST DEMONSTRATE FINANCIAL NEED, BE A FIRST-GENERATION STUDENT AND HAVE FACED SOME TYPE OF ADVERSITY. MENTOR PROGRAM-IMPROVE THE LIVES OF UNDERSERVED YOUTH AND EMPOWER THEM TO ACHIEVE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, OVERCOME BARRIERS, AND REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL BY CREATING MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ANBRYCE YOUTH PARTICIPANTS AND QUALIFIED ADULT VOLUNTEERS.
