VILLAGE SCHOOL IS AN INDEPENDENT MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR GIRLS IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA SERVING GRADES FIVE THROUGH EIGHT. IT IS A WARM AND WELCOMING PLACE FOR GIRLS TO DISCOVER THEIR STRENGTHS, FIND THEIR OWN VOICES, AND GROW INTO CONFIDENT, SELF-RELIANT, AND INTELLECTUALLY CURIOUS LEARNERS. BY PROVIDING THE SKILLS AND SUPPORT NECESSARY TO ENGAGE IN A CHALLENGING FOUR-YEAR CURRICULUM, VILLAGE SCHOOL PREPARES GIRLS TO SAFELY TAKE RISKS AND MAKE RESPONSIBLE PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC CHOICES.

VILLAGE SCHOOL'S SINGULAR PROGRAM IS THE EDUCATION OF GIRLS IN GRADES 5 THROUGH 8. IT PROVIDES CORE INSTRUCTION IN MATH, ENGLISH, HISTORY, LATIN AND SCIENCE TO 80 STUDENTS AS WELL AS CLASSES IN STUDY SKILLS, MUSIC, DANCE, DRAMA, ART AND HEALTH.
