PROVIDED CHRISTMAS GIFTS, FOOD GIFT CARDS, AND GAS GIFT CARDS TO 208 FAMILIES: 235 CHILDREN, 71 SENIORS, AND 79 DISABLED ADULTS FOR A TOTAL OF 385 INDIVIDUALS.
SUPPORT SPECIFIC INITIATIVES TO HELP BOLSTER OUR CLIENTELE IN ALL THEIR ONGOING NEEDS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR: $2000 FOR A FOOD SHORTAGE FUND, $1000 TO OUR LOCAL FREE HEALTH CLINIC, $2000 TO PROVIDE MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION, $500 FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE CRISIS INTERVENTION, $3000 FOR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, $800 FOR RECREATIONAL GRANTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUTH SPORTS/RECREATION, AND OTHER SMALL ALLOCATIONS AS NEED AROSE.
INFLATION COSTS DROVE THE PRICE OF EGGS TO 5X NORMAL PRICE; GAS PRICES APPROACHED $5/GALLON. OUR PROGRAM INITIATED DIRECT GRANTS IN THE FORM OF GROCERY AND GAS GIFT CARDS TO OUR PROGRAM CLIENTELE TO HELP OFFSET THE DRASTIC RISE IN THE COST OF ESSENTIALS.
