THEY FIND EQUITABLE PROGRAMS THAT ENHANCE STUDENT LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND CITZENSHIP. THEY CREATE AND FUND PROGRAMS THAT PREPARE AND ENGAGE STUDENTS WITH DIVERSE POPULATIONS, CULTURES AND TECHNOLOGIES. THEY PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS ENABLING THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN CONFERENCES, SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS TO FURTHER THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND IMPACT THEIR CLASSROOMS. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VARIOUS FOUNDATIONS, THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO BRING LITERACY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO FAUQUIER COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL EDUCATORS. TEACHERS RECEIVED WEEK LONG INSTRUCTION IN MULTI-SENSORY LEARNING METHODS TO ASSIST CLASSROOM TEACHING AND INDIVIDUAL STUDENT NEEDS.
TRANSISTION PROGRAM:TRANSITIONS PROVIDES HANDS-ON WORK EXPERIENCE AND LIFE SKILLS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS AGES 18-22 IN FAUQUIER COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND HELPS PREPARE THEM FOR A FULL AND SATISFYING LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL.
