THE PURPOSE OF PTA IS TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN HOME, SCHOOL, COMMUNITY, AND PLACE OF WORSHIP;TO RAISE THE STANDARDS OF HOME LIFE; TO SECURE ADEQUATE LAWS FOR THE CARE AND PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH; TO BRING INTO CLOSER RELATION THE HOME AND THE SCHOOL, THAT PARENTS AND TEACHERS MAY COOPERATE INTELLIGENTLY IN THE EDUCATION OF THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH; TO DEVELOP BETWEEN EDUCATORS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC SUCH UNITED EFFORTS AS WILL SECURE FOR ALL CHILDREN AND YOUTH THE HIGHEST ADVANTAGES IN PHYSICAL, MENTAL,SOCIAL, AND SPIRITUAL EDUCATION.

THE PTA PLAYS IN INSTRUMENTAL ROLE IN ENSURING THAT NSES IS A VIBRANT AND DYNAMIC PLACE OF LEARNING FOR OUR CHILDREN. WE WORK TO SUPPORT NSES'S MISSION TO MEET THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF ALL OF OUR STUDENTS AND HELP THEM BECOME SUCCESSFUL, MOTIVATED STUDENTS AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS OF A GLOBAL COMMUNITY. THE PTA SEEKS TO FOSTER COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PARENTS, STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND SCHOOL STAFF THROUGH PTA MEETINGS, THE WEBSITE AND PTA PROGRAMS AND EVENTS. THE PTA ALSO DONATES FUNDS DIRECTLY TO THE SCHOOL TO HELP FUND FIELD TRIPS, TECHNOLOGY PURCHASES, SCIENCE, MATH AND READING ENRICHMENT AS WELL AS THE SCHOOL PLAY.
