THE MISSION OF WORKSOURCE ENTERPRISES IS TO SECURE EMPLOYMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES THAT ENABLE INDIVIDUALS WITH VOCATIONAL DISABILITIES TO ACHIEVE SELF-SUFFICIENCY, INDEPENDENCE AND FULL PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMUNITY. WORKSOURCE PROVIDES JOB TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT, COMMUNITY JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. WORKSOURCE SERVES VIRGINIANS IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE AND ALBEMARLE, FLUVANNA, GREENE, LOUISA AND NELSON COUNTIES. MOST PERSONS SERVED HAVE INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, MENTAL ILLNESS, PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS, SENSORY IMPAIRMENTS AND AUTISM.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES JOB TRAINING, COMMUNITY JOB PLACEMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR 223 INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, TO INDIVIDUALS WHO CANNOT BE PLACED IN THE JOB MARKET. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, PROGRAMS FOR THE 223 INDIVIDUALS ARE BROKEN DOWN INTO: COMMUNITY PLACEMENT - 77%, DAY SUPPORT - 17%, AND HOUSEKEEPING AND CUSTODIAL SERVICES - 6%.
