ARTSFAIRFAX IS DEDICATED TO EXPANDING SUPPORT FOR AND ACCESS TO ARTS AND CULTURE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL OF FAIRFAX COUNTY.

GRANTS - GRANTS ARE AWARDED IN VARIOUS CATEGORIES, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT, PROJECT GRANTS, ARTIST GRANTS, AND AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS. ARTSFAIRFAX AWARDED 56 GRANTS TO ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND ARTISTS LOCATED IN FAIRFAX COUNTY.
COMMUNICATION - ARTSFAIRFAX PROVIDES INFORMATIONAL SERVICES (WEB, NEWSLETTER, RESOURCE INFO, AND EVENTS LISTINGS) TO THE ARTS COMMUNITY, AND PROMOTES THE ARTS AND ALL ARTS ACTIVITIES IN FAIRFAX TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO CONDUCTS SURVEYS AND GATHERS DATA TO HELP THE ARTS AND CITIZENS ADVOCATE FOR SUPPORT OF THE ARTS AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS.
SERVICE PROGRAMS - ARTSFAIRFAX PROVIDES CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMS TO THE ARTS COMMUNITY SUCH AS EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES ARTS SERVICES TO THE BROADER COMMUNITY SUCH AS THE ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM IN FAIRFAX COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THE CREATIVE AGING FESTIVAL, AS WELL AS STAFFING AND COORDINATION OF COUNTY-WIDE MASTER ARTS PLANNING FOR ARTS FACILITY INFRASTRUCTURE AND PUBLIC ART.
