THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF PSYCHIATRISTS IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT HONORARY ASSOCIATION DEDICATED TO PROVIDING CONTINUING EDUCATION TO ITS MEMBERS, PROMOTING THE LATEST ADVANCES IN THE SPECIALTY AND SUPPORTING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN PSYCHIATRY.

EXAMINATIONS: THREE DIFFERENT EXAMINATIONS ARE DEVELOPED, ADMINISTERED, OFFERED AND SOLD TO PSYCHIATRIC RESIDENTS AND PRACTITIONERS FOR STUDYING AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. THE PRITE AND CHILD PRITE ARE EXAMS FOR RESIDENTS AND PIPE IS AN EXAM FOR PRACTICING PSYCHIATRISTS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS ACTIVITY IS TO PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION TO COLLEGE MEMBERS, PROMOTE THE LATEST ADVANCES IN THE SPECIALTY, AND SUPPORT THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN PSYCHIATRY.


MEETINGS: INCLUDES COMMITTEES ON SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMS AND LOCAL PLANNING. ALSO INCLUDES AN ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR WHERE MEMBERS AND EXPERTS IN THE FIELD OF PSYCHIATRY PRESENT THE LATEST RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENTS IN THE PROFESSION. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROMOTE THE LATEST ADVANCES IN THE SPECIALTY AND SUPPORT THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN PSYCHIATRIC PRACTICE.
