FINDING STRENGTH IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF OTHER GOLD STAR MOTHERS WHO STRIVE TO KEEP THE MEMORY OF OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS ALIVE BY WORKING TO HELP VETERANS, THOSE CURRENTLY SERVING IN THE MILITARY, THEIR FAMILIES AND OUR COMMUNITIES.

WE ARE RAISING AWARENESS OF SUICIDE IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE MILITARY. WE HAVE MOTHERS VOLUNTEERING AT THE VA HOSPITALS AROUND THE COUNTRY. WE ARE A PARTNER WITH WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA AND RAISE FUNDS TO PLACE WREATHS ON VETERANS GRAVES AT CHRISTMAS TIME AS WELL AS HELPING TO PLACE THE WREATHS. WE ARE A PARTNER WITH THE VIETNAM WAR 50TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE WHICH ALLOWS US TO HONOR THE VETERANS FROM THE VIETNAM ERA BY PINNING THEM WITH A DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE PIN. OUR MEMBERSHIP ALSO SUPPORTS VETERANS IN NEED THROUGH VARIOUS DONATIONS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS THE VETERAN INDIVIDUALLY.WE HAVE A GRANT PROGRAM TO ASSIST GOLD STAR MOTHERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN NEGATIVELY IMPACTED BY THE PANDEMIC.
