TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES SUFFERING FROM CANCER AND OTHER DEVASTATING ILLNESSES BY RAISING FUNDS WITH AN ALL-VOLUNTEER WORKFORCE TO COVER MEDICAL AND LIVING EXPENSES IN THEIR TIME OF NEED.

THE PATTY POLLATOS FUND, INC. ASSISTED 30 CANCER PATIENTS IN THE FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND AREA WHOSE FAMILIES' HAVE BEEN FINANCIALLY DEVASTATED BY THE ILLNESS PREVENTING THEM FROM GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT. THESE INDIVIDUALS EITHER DID NOT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE OR LOST HEALTH INSURANCE AS A RESULT OF LOSING THEIR JOB. THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TYPICALLY CONSISTED OF MEDICAL BILLS, RENT OR MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, FOOD, AND OTHER LIVING EXPENSES.


THE PATTY POLLATOS FUND, INC. MAINTAINS A FAMILY CRISIS FUND THAT ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS DEVASTATED BY ILLNESSES AND ACCIDENTS OTHER THAN CANCER, SUCH AS SPINAL CORD INJURIES, OR ORGAN TRANSPLANTS IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. THESE FUNDS ARE DESIGNED TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO FACE SUDDEN SITUATIONS THAT REQUIRE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MEET EMERGENCY HEALTH NEEDS AS WELL AS IMMEDIATE LIVING EXPENSES. THE FAMILY CRISIS FUND ASSISTED 25 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES DURING THE YEAR.


THE PATTY POLLATOS FUND, INC. ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS IN NEED BY GRANTING OR FORWARDING FUNDS TO OTHER NON-RELATED CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND AREA AND BEYOND. THESE ORGANIZATIONS HAVE MISSIONS THAT ALIGN WITH THE MISSION OF PATTY POLLATOS FUND, INC. TO ASSIST THOSE IN NEED DUE TO DEVASTATING LIFE EVENTS.
