STATE REFORM PROGRAM - SDP IS A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT TO ADVANCE AND ADVOCATE FOR A MORE ROBUST DEMOCRACY, INCLUDING SEVERAL NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS WITH LOCAL AFFILIATES OR PARTNERS. IN 2021 THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS COLLABORATING IN THIS EFFORT INCLUDED THE CENTER FOR POPULAR DEMOCRACY, PLANNED PARENTHOOD, THE NAACP, STATE VOICES, AND THE WORKING FAMILIES ORGANIZATION. SDA'S WORK WAS DRIVEN BY ITS PARTNERS' STRONG FOCUS ON EXPANDING ACCESS TO VOTING AND PARTICIPATION AMONG MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CHALLENGES TO CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT CREATED BY THE PANDEMIC.

COMMUNICATIONS, STRATEGY, POLICY RESEARCH, AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS- THESE EFFORTS SUPPORTED STATE CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT AND ADVOCACY IN EFFORTS TO REFORM THE RULES GOVERNING DEMOCRATIC PARTICIPATION.
