THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE ASSOCIATION OF GREATER WASHINGTON (EVADC) IS ACTING AS A FISCAL SPONSOR FOR THE BALTIMORE WASHINGTON ELECTRIC VEHICLE INITIATIVE (BEVI). BEVI IS AN ORGANIZATION THAT WORKS WITH VARIOUS STATE GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES AND OTHER COMPANIES TO PROMOTE THE USAGE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES. SOME OF THEIR 2015 ACTIVITIES INCLUDE ASSISTING IN THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING FACILITIES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND THE BALTIMORE - WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA, AND DESIGNING AND INSTALLING SIGNAGE TO HELP ELECTRIC VEHICLE USERS FIND CHARGING STATIONS. ACTING IN THE CAPACITY OF A SPONSOR ORGANIZATION, EVADC TREATS FUNDS RECEIVED BY BEVI AS RESTRICTED UNDER THE CHARITABLE TRUST DOCTRINE. GRANTS AND OTHER FUNDS RECEIVED BY BEVI ARE USED BY BEVI FOR ITS OWN PROJECTS, AND ARE NOT USED FOR OTHER EVADC EXPENSES.
