THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION, WITHIN (AND WITHOUT LIMITING) THESE BOARD,PURPOSES,SHALL BE TO ORGANIZE AND MAINTAIN A ROWING CLUB OPEN TO STUDENTS AT ST. ALBANS SCHOOL FOR BOYS(STA) AND NATIONAL CATHEDRAL SCHOOL FOR GIRLS (NCS)(BOTH BEING PARTS OF THE PROTESTANT EPISCOPAL CATHEDRAL FOUNDATION), WASHONGTON, D.C, THEREBY EXPANDING THE EDUCATIONAL AND RELATED EXPERIENCES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE TO THOSE SCHOOLS' STUDENTS. THE CORPORATION SHALL SEEK TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN THROUGH THE SPORT OF ROWING AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL.

WINTER CONDITIONING: THE ROWING PROGRAM CONTINUED WITH OFFERING THE WINTER CONDITIONING PROGRAM TO HELP RETURNING ATHLETES GET READY FOR THE SEASON AND INCREASE THEIR COMPETITIVENESS, INTRODUCE NEW ATHLETES INTO THE ROWING PROGRAM AND ASSESS WHO OF THESE WILL BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROWING PROGRAM. THIS TRAINING REGIMEN HELPED PREPARE THE ROWERS FOR PARTICIPATION IN SEVERAL HIGH SCHOOL REGATTAS. OVERALL 64 ATHLETES PARTICIPATED IN THE WINTER CONDITION PROGRAM.

SPRING TRAINING: SEVENTY-EIGHT STUDENTS FROM THE TWO HIGH SCHOOLS LEARNT ABOUT THE SPORT OF ROWING A WELL AS PARTICIPATING IN A TEAM SPORT ON A COMPETITIVE LEVEL. THEY LEARNED TO WORK IN UNISON IN THEIR TEAMS AND DEVELOPED A STRONG SENSE OF TEAMWORK WHICH IS CRITICAL FOR THIS SPORT.


SPRING ROWING SEASON: COACHES FACILITATED INTO HIGHLY COMPETITIVE REGATTAS AND LEVERAGED THE CLUBS ROWING EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES. COACHES SUPERVISED PRACTICES AND FORMED THE TEAMS FOR THE DIFFERENT BOAT CATEGORIES AND COACHED THE TEAMS IN SEVERAL REGATTAS OVER THE COURSE OF THE SEASON.
