DRUG STRATEGIES' PRIMARY FOCUS IS ON RESPONDING TO THE CURRENT OVERDOSE EPIDEMIC IN THE US, DRIVEN LARGELY BY THE OPIOID FENTANYL. IN 2021, MORE THAN 100,000 DRUG OVERDOSE DEATHS WERE REPORTED, AND THE NUMBERS CONTINUE TO CLIMB. GREATER EFFORTS AT PREVENTION AND TREATMENT ARE URGENTLY NEEDED.
