CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN LAW STUDENTS IN THE GREATER WASHINGTON, D.C. AREA. PROGRAMS INCLUDE MENTORSHIP, NETWORKING, EVENTS, FELLOWSHIPS, AND SKILLS BASED PROGRAMMING.

AWARDED 9 STUDENT FELLOWSHIPS/GRANTS. AEF AWARDS SUMMER FELLOWSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS EACH YEAR TO LAW STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE NATION. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE FELLOWSHIPS IS TO FUND A STUDENTS INTERNSHIP WITHIN THE PUBLIC INTEREST SECTOR THAT BENEFITS EITHER METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON, D.C. COMMUNITY-AT-LARGE AND/OR THE ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN COMMUNITY.


CONFERENCES - HOSTED IN-PERSON CONFERENCE TO BRING TOGETHER JUDGES AND FORMER CLERKS TO PROVIDE MINORITY LAW STUDENTS INFORMATION ABOUT CLERKSHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS IN A WIDE RANGE OF TRIBUNALS - APPELLATE, TRIAL, FEDERAL, STATE AND ADMINISTRATIVE.


NETWORKING AND MENTORING EVENTS - FACILITATE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN MENTORS AND MENTEES THROUGH A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING EVENTS DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR. EVENTS INCLUDE MENTORSHIP NETWORKING, ICE CREAM SOCIAL, HAPPY HOURS AND DINNERS.
