THE INGAA FOUNDATION, INC. (FOUNDATION) WAS FORMED TO FACILITATE THE SAFE, RELIABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE GAS INFRASTRUCTURE VALUE CHAIN SO AS TO ADVANCE THE USE AND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CONSUMING PUBLIC AND THE INDUSTRY.

THE FOUNDATION SPONSORED THREE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS AT WHICH THE PROGRAMMING FOCUSED ON DEVELOPMENTS AFFECTING THE NATURAL GAS TRANSMISSION PIPELINE AND COMPLEMENTARY CLEAN ENERGY INDUSTRY. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SPONSORED THREE WORKSHOPS, SIX REPORTS, EIGHT SAFETY GUIDELINES, AND ONE VIDEO THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.


THE FOUNDATION'S PRIMARY ACTIVITY IS TO SPONSOR RESEARCH AIMED AT SIGNIFICANT ISSUES RELATED TO NATURAL GAS AND COMPLEMENTARY CLEAN ENERGY USE AND SAFE, EFFICIENT PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION. SINCE 1990, THE FOUNDATION HAS COMPLETED OVER 200 STUDIES, IN ADDITION TO MANY PROJECTS AND WORKSHOPS WHICH BENEFIT THE INDUSTRY. THESE PROJECTS FOCUS ON KEY INDUSTRY ISSUES, SUCH AS ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF ENERGY USE, IMPROVED PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES, PIPELINE SAFETY PROCEDURES, NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND MARKET OPPORTUNITIES FOR NATURAL GAS.
