DURING 2022 THE ASSOCIATION OF RETIREES OF THE INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING: - CARRIED OUT A COMPREHENSIVE ON-LINE SURVEY TO ASK MEMBERS TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON THE ASSOCIATION'S PERFORMANCE. WITH A RESPONSE RATE OF 70, WE LEARNED THAT OVERALL SATISFACTION WITH THE ASSOCIATION IS HIGH, AT 85%; AND OF THE MAIN REASONS MEMBERS JOIN , CONNECTING WITH COLLEAGUES, GETTING INFORMATION ON BENEFITS, HAVING ADVOCATES LOOK OUT FOR RETIREE INTERESTS AND ENJOYING OPPORTUNITIES IN SOCIAL EVENTS. - PUBLISHED ON TIME A RECORD 12 NEWSLETTERS AS WELL AS A COMPREHENSIVE ADVANCED PLANNING HANDBOOK ON THE STEPS TO TAKE WHEN A MEMBER OR HIS OR HER SPOUSE PASSES AWAY. - MODERNIZED THE ASSOCIATION'S WEBSITE TO MAKE IT EASIER TO NAVIGATE, WHILE HIGHLIGHTING THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP. - AMENDED THE VOTING AND VOTE COUNTING REGULATIONS FOR ASSOCIATION ELECTIONS. - TOOK SWIFT ACTION TO HIRE OUTSIDE COUNSEL AND ENGAGE IDB MANAGMENT TO ENSURE THAT THE STAFF RETIREMENT PLAN'S PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT ("COLA") TO IDB PENSIONS WERE FULLY ADHERED TO. THESE EFFORTS RESULTED IN 100% COLA ADJUSTMENT OF IDB'S INTERNATIONAL RETIREES' PENSIONS IN CALENDAR YEAR 2022. IN ADDITION, PROVIDED LONG TERM BENEFITS TO ALL INTERNATIONAL RETIREES BY ENSURING THE PRESERVATION OF THE PENSIONS' REAL VALUE.
