WASHINGTON CONCERT OPERA PRESENTED A SERIES OF ONLINE PROGRAMS IN THE FACE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: HIGHLIGHTS FROM GIUSEPPE VERDIS SIMON BOCCANEGRA, A RECITAL COMMEMORATING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF WOMENS SUFFRAGE AND THE LATE SUPREME COURT JUSTICE RUTH BADER GINSBURG, AUDIO STREAMING OF PREVIOUS WCO PERFORMANCES, AND HIGHLIGHTS FROM VINCENZO BELLINIS I PURITANI, ALL OF WHICH FEATURED SOME OF TODAYS MOST ACCLAIMED OPERA STARS AND EXCITING EMERGING ARTISTS, AND RECEIVED HIGH PRAISE FROM CRITICS AND AUDIENCES ALIKE. AUDIENCES THROUGHOUT THE SEASON WERE ENTHUSIASTIC. OTHER PROGRAMMING INCLUDED A LECTURE SERIES ON THE SEASONS OFFERINGS.
