IN FY 2021 ENDING MARCH 31, 2022 AND IN PRIOR YEARS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS SUPPORTED RESEARCH IN DISEASES SUCH AS VARIOUS CANCERS, SUCH AS NEUROBLASTOMA, OTHER NEUROLOGICAL CANCERS, GLYCOGEN STORAGE DISEASE, PEDIATRIC STROKE DISEASE AND LAFORA DISEASE.

GENERALLY, AS STATED ABOVE, THE ORGANIZATION MAKES GRANTS TO SUPPORT CHILD HEALTH THROUGH RESEARCH. IN FY 2021, THE ORGANIZATION MADE A GRANT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR SICK CHILDREN FOUNDATION TOTALING $230,000, FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH IN DISEASES THAT AFFLICT CHILDREN AND THE BALANCE FOR GENERAL CHARITABLE USES AND PURPOSES. THE OUTPUT FROM THIS PROGRAM IS INTANGIBLE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO COUNT THE NUMBER OF PERSONS BENEFITED BY GRANTS FOR THINGS SUCH AS RESEARCH. HOWEVER, SINCE THE HOSPITAL IS THE LARGEST HOSPITAL IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE DEVOTED TO CHILD HEALTH, AND AS SUCH, MANY CHILDREN COME FROM THE U.S., CANADA, AND AROUND THE WORLD FOR THE MOST ADVANCED PEDIATRIC CARE, IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS ORGANIZATION'S GRANT PROGRAM TO SUPPORT CHILD HEALTH THROUGH RESEARCH.
