THE MIDDLE EAST POLICY COUNCIL IS AN INDEPENDENT, NON-PROFIT, NON-PARTISAN EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION. FOUNDED IN 1981, THE MISSION OF THE COUNCIL IS TO FOSTER PUBLIC DISCUSSION OF THE POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, CULTURAL AND SECURITY ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE POLICIES OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE MIDDLE EAST. THE HALLMARK OF THE COUNCIL'S WORK IS RESPECT FOR THOUGHTFUL, DIVERSE VIEWS.

CAPITOL HILL CONFERENCE SERIES - CONSISTS OF QUARTERLY PUBLIC FORUMS IN WHICH A PANEL OF EXPERTS DISCUSSES CRITICAL POLICY ISSUES AS THEY PERTAIN TO THE MIDDLE EAST. AN EDITED VERSION OF THE CONFERENCE IS PUBLISHED IN THE PUBLICATION - MIDDLE EAST POLICY.


PUBLIC OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM HELPS A BROAD RANGE OF INTERESTED CITIZENS NATIONWIDE TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE MIDDLE EAST, PRIMARILY THROUGH FREE PRESENTATIONS FOR ELEMENTARY, SECONDARY AND POST-SECONDARY STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS. THE COUNCIL ALSO TAILERS THIS PROGRAM FOR MEDIA OUTLETS, CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS AND CORPORATIONS.
