TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER-WATER PROJECT AGENCIES - THIS PROJECT FACILITATES STATE IDENTIFICATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEMS (NPDES), TOTAL MAXIMUM DAILY LOADS (TMDLS), WATER QUALITY MONITORING, AND ASSESSMENT, NONPOINT SOURCE, EFFLUENT GUIDELINES, AND WATER QUALITY STANDARD PROGRAMS TO MORE EFFICIENTLY PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
