ST. FRANCIS NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER IS COMMITTED TO ENDING GENERATIONAL POVERTY THROUGH EDUCATION, INSPIRING SELF-ESTEEM, SELF-IMPROVEMENT, AND STRENGTHENING CONNECTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY.

THE MISSION OF THE CENTER IS TO END GENERATIONAL POVERTY THROUGH EDUCATION, INSPIRING SELF-ESTEEM, SELF IMPROVEMENT, AND STRENGTHENING CONNECTIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THE CENTER IS COMMUNITY DRIVEN. WE CURRENTLY OFFER YEAR ROUND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMING INCLUDING AFTER SCHOOL POWER PROJECT, SUMMER SUMMER OF SERVICE EXCURSION, TUTORING AND MENTORING. THE CENTER HAS A COMPUTER LAB, CLASSES, COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS SUCH AS STOOP NIGHTS AND AN ANNUAL HEALTH/RESOURCE FAIR PERSONAL FINANCE, JOB, CAREER, AND COLLEGE PREPARATION HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE INTERNSHIPS GREENING AND COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM HUMAN SERVICES SUCH AS FAMILY AND FOOD RESOURCES HEALTH AND FITNESS PROGRAMMING SUCH AS YOGA MEETING SPACE FOR NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS, COMMUNITY AND CITY GROUPS.
