NASK, THE NORTH AMERICAN SUMMER ESPERANTO WORKSHOP, IS THE PREMIER ESPERANTO LANGUAGE LEARNING WORKSHOP IN THE USA. IT HAS BEEN HELD ANNUALLY SINCE 1969. THE WORKSHOP IS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE SUBSIDY PROVIDED BY ESF. ESF ORGANIZES IT, FINDS THE TEACHERS AND LOCATION, ADVERTISES IT TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND PAYS THE BILLS AND TEACHERS. THE STUDENTS DO PAY TO ATTEND BUT THE AMOUNT COLLECTED DOES NOT COVER THE TOTAL COST, SO ESF SUBSIDES THE EVENT EACH YEAR TO ASSURE THAT IT TAKES PLACE.
