THE SOCIETY IS COMPRISED OF 45 STATE SOCIETIES AND ONE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY IN CANADA. THESE STATE SOCIETIES ARE FURTHER DIVIDED INTO CHAPTERS. OUR 9,000 MEMBERS SHARE A COMMON INTEREST IN AMERICAN HISTORY, LOVE OF AND RESPECT FOR OUR NATION, AND A DESIRE TO WORK TOGETHER IN HARMONIOUS FELLOWSHIP TO ACHIEVE THE IMPORTANT GOALS OF THE SOCIETY. THE SOCIETY MAINTAINS NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS IN A HISTORICAL BUILDING IN WASHINGTON, D.C. WHICH INCLUDES A MUSEUM, A LIBRARY AND A FAMILY NAME FILE FOR OVER 5,000 17TH CENTURY FAMILIES. THE BUILDING IS OPEN TO MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC. THE SOCIETY GRANTS SCHOLARSHIPS WHICH FOSTER HISTORICAL EDUCATION.
