OAKWOOD FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER'S ("THE CENTER") PRIMARY PURPOSE IS THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT OF ITS GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF OPERATION. THE CENTER ADDRESSES ONE OR MORE OF THE CRITICAL PROBLEMS OF THE AREA, AND PAYS PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN LOW OR MODERATE INCOME BRACKETS. THE CENTER MAINTAINS ITS MISSION TO MOVE LOWER INCOME FAMILIES TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND STABILITY BY PROVIDING CLIENT SERVICES SUCH AS EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT, FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATION, YOUTH ADVOCACY, COUNSELING, CHILD CARE, MEDICAL CARE, AND ACCESS TO WORKSOURCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, INFORMATION, AND REFERRAL TO OTHER HUMAN SERVICES NEEDED TO ATTAIN AND INCREASE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES.
